The Wabenmuster pleco, this species is also known as the Honeycomb Bristlenose Pleco. The term "Wabenmuster" translates to "honeycomb" in German, referring to the pattern on the fish. They typically grow to a size of 5 to 6 inches (12 to 15 cm), making them suitable for a variety of aquarium sizes. 

Primarily herbivorous, they are known for efficiently grazing on algae and other plant matter. Supplemental feeding with sinking algae wafers and vegetables is recommended.
