The Sumatra Tiger Fish, Datnioides microlepis, has been a standard in the aquarium industry for decades.  Its coloration is sharp and stunning, they have a golden body and black stripes which appear in a tiger-like pattern. In captivity, it will typically grow to be around 10-18 inches in length, Datnioides are known for thier slow growth. They can have a long life of about 12-15 years when properly cared for.

This beautiful fish is a great addition to any largw tank. predatory fish that are within the same size range. Some good tank mates include arowanas, rays, and silver dollars.
